Naviamp Connect · Beta

Choose where it plays.
Keep control close.

A remote for the music you own, built into the player you already use.

Your phone in your hand.
Your music on the other player.

Put Naviamp on your computer or Android TV, then use another Naviamp device to browse your collection, choose a track, and control the queue.

The playback device streams directly from your music server. Your controller sends commands and follows what’s playing, so the music can keep going when you stop controlling it.

Naviamp Connect is a beta for Android and desktop. Android TV receives playback; phones and desktops can control or receive it. iOS Connect is not included in the current preview.

Pick the player. Keep the familiar controls.

Control the listening

Play, pause, skip, seek, and use supported repeat and shuffle controls from the device in your hand.

Shape what comes next

Select queued tracks, use Play Next, reorder or remove items, and start music through the familiar browsing interface.

Move the queue

Transfer a listening session between compatible sources on paired devices, with the queue and playback position carried across.

Pair once

Use the pairing code and approval flow. Trusted devices can reconnect without starting the pairing process again.

Leave the player playing

Stop controlling a device without forgetting it. The playback device owns its stream and queue.

Find it across a Tailnet

Enter a reachable host and port when local discovery cannot cross your network. The normal pairing and identity checks still apply.

From two devices to one listening session.

  1. Open both players

Use compatible Naviamp versions on reachable Android or desktop devices. Connect the playback device to the music source it will play.

  2. Pair in Controllers

Open Settings → Controllers, find the other device, and follow the pairing-code and approval steps.

  3. Choose where to listen

Select the paired player and start music. Its own Naviamp instance handles playback while you control the session.

What needs to be reachable?

The controller must be able to reach the playback device, and the playback device must be able to reach the music server. Automatic discovery works on the local network; a routed network may need manual pairing and suitable network permissions.

Queue handoff needs a compatible music source on the receiving device. Pairing can also offer an existing connection to help set up another player, with the required approval.

Connect has no hosted internet relay and needs no separate Naviamp account. Google Cast is a separate output option for compatible receivers. Connect remains beta while broader device and recovery testing continues.
